The Noble Council of Akanittha Brahma Realm was remembered with faith.
I repeated the 31/10/2025 Nibbana meditation. In regard to the factor added there as the second one, it has been examined whether, if rapture (pīti) arises thinking ‘I am abiding in the Noble Eightfold Path,’ that thereby gives rise to conceit (māna). Reflecting on the enlightenment factor of concentration (samādhi sambojjhaṅga) arising due to concentration with thinking and exploring (savitakka–savicāra samādhi), the mind was directed to the dhamma fact of not rejoicing in the rapture arising from not adding permanency to form. In this meditation, I examined what happens if one rejoices in the rapture that arise by not adding permanency to form. If one delights like that, conceit (māna) will arise. Does this cause the previous self (attā) to be stirred? It is so. How is it so? If conceit destroys wisdom, then intentions of hate (paduṭṭhamanasaṅkappa) become active. It goes as far as hate; barb of hate (dosa-salla) becomes active. From that sorrow 2 becomes active. Let us investigate this together with sorrow 2 diagram,

If the barb of hate is active, feeling as a steadying point for consciousness passing on (vedanā-upaga viññāṇa-sthiti) will arise. Whatever barb of hate there maybe, within it there are feeling values previously experienced. Something that is suffering (dukkha) has descended into consciousness as pleasure (sukha). To escape from this, let us investigate the use of the diagram given in the 10/01/2025 Nibbāna meditation.

Let us examine thinking (takko) there. If conceit (māna) is present, then attachment to a certain doctrine that leads to meditative attainments (samāpatti) has not been removed. If so, there is stinginess regarding doctrine (dhammamacchariya). It is the 50% path that exerted a strong influence towards this. In this case it happens subsequent to the barb of lust in sorrow 2 path. That is so. How can the barb of lust (rāga-salla) be removed in this case?
If the ‘volitional formations’ (saṅkhāra) that construct neither perception nor non-perception (nevasaññānāsaññāyatana) are first discarded, secondly perceptions of formless sphere jhana (arūpa-jhāna saññā) are discarded, then how does a barb of lust (rāga-salla) like this arise? Having given alms in former lives, perceptions of pleasure (sukasaññā) values, enjoyed like a king remains undying, or sensual elements (kāma-dhātu) connected with the subject of form that surpasses all elements, should be removed. It was understood that this can be done only by remaining continuously in the Noble Eightfold Path.
This is the meditation I did.
If I am to add a little more to this,
If right livelihood (sammā-ājīva) is absent, then when someone asks for things like chocolate, by that very act one moistens only the barb of lust (rāga-salla). In this way, by activating the 50% path, thinking (takko) disappears. What more is there to be said about mental transfixion (vyappanā).
